Quite remote from kids' fare, this was a Metal Hurlant commission, entitled OvaireDrive, a story written by Jean-Luc Fromental and François Landon.

When the job was completed I went to deliver at the Paris headquarters, only to learn that the magazine, in the crosshairs of government censorship since its first release, had just been prohibited in railway station outlets because of "offensive adult content".

The move actually meant that our story could not be published. So much work...
The big character with the moustache is actually Fromental. To this day I don't know how he appreciated being destroyed that way...
As a martial arts adept, I always liked staging combat situations. The weapon used here actually exists. It was designed by a karate black belt pal, Dominique Obadia, who also happened to be a sculptor, of aggressive productions obviously.
